That’s right. I loves mah son. AND I love Amazon Prime. $70/year seems like a lot but not when you consider how much I order from Amazon (due to my hatred of shopping), it’s well worth it. Free standard and two-day shipping. Next day shipping is only $3.99. Fortunately, most thing I order for two-day end up coming the next day anyway. Great example, my Soapmaker’s Companion was ordered on Monday and got here Tuesday at like noon. Plus, a lot of things are a dollar or two cheaper than in stores.
I flippin LOVE Amazon.

Oh My God of Cheesefries
September 29, 2008 by Avy.
I’m watching ER (which I like NEVER do) and it’s pandaemonium! Seriously! Blood everywhere. Kiddie Bloods and Crips trying to kill each other IN the hospital. Seriously. One kid was stabbing a kid in triage with a scalpel at least 30 times. I’m like “wtf?!” I’m sure this stuff is overblown for TV, but I can’t help but think this has happened somewhere. There’s also a doomsday cult’s mass suicide that was full of fail. There’s like 10 of those people in there. The ER is totally understaffed and there are also 2 near-death/drowning victims, a teen mom whose belly was sliced open and her baby was stolen, battered 20y/o girl who has obviously been “domestic violenced” (as I like to call it).
Yes! Xavier’s asleep. Time for me to get some noms.

NEED: Canon EOS 450D / XSi

Canon EOS 450D / Rebel XSi brief hands-on: Digital Photography Review
I know I just got my XT in October, but I’m fairly certain I need the new XSi.
I chose the XT over the XTi because the latter didn’t have enough upgrades to justify the cost. Well now there’s the XSi and woah diggity. I’m just sayin… magic! It was finally released in April, but I was too occupied with everything else to notice.
I took some nifty photos of Wizard Eye at The Fire on Friday night. That was fun times. I think the quality would have been even better if (like the XSi) the XT had auto aperture AND auto ISO once you choose the shutter speed in Tv mode. I like a little motion blur and some of these shots have too much for my tastes. I can tell that from the camera. On PC, I’ll have to find out tonight.

Mushy Mami Post
May 5, 2008 by Avy.
So yesterday Erik and I went to Babies R Us so he could see & we could feel the car-seat I picked out (Graco Snug Ride) for our registry. It was fun times. Neither of us could get it detached from the base, but the lady helped us with that part.
The car-seat also works with the Snug Ride stroller frame (and a swing frame). You just pop it right in. It’s only $60 and that’s great to us. I don’t see the point in spending $$$ on a big stroller when I hate them altogether. I’m into baby carrying for as long as possible and only using strollers when I’ll be walking for more than an hour. Erik says he’ll take turns carrying the SOB, so that’s a plus to me. He had fun playing with the stroller, too. It was nifty. Men are such adorable dorks when they get into daddy mode.
Oh, here’s what they look like:
In other news, I’m feeling very mushy these days. It’s so weird to know that I’m gonna be somebody’s mom. It’s weird! I said that already. But yeah. I’m just excited and heppy. I get all hurty in the cheeks when I think about the toddler years especially. I know I can “teach” the baby facial expressions pretty early, but newborns aren’t much fun. I’ll just be terrified in the beginning and move on to the comfort o carrying a 3month old. I’ll be honest. I don’t think I’ll be comfortable holding him until then. I think I’ll be able to do it just fine, but I’ll still be terrified of dropping/squishing. I’m very comfortable with babies 3mos and up.
Anyway. I can’t wait to make lunches and watch Nat Geo and go on adventures and play “Scare the Daddy” with the SOB.

Self Control
January 11, 2008 by Avy.
I has it!
Lunch today consisted of:
Seaweed Salad
Spider Roll
California Roll
Let me just say that that is just a tiny fraction of the amount of such I can eat. I want more. More more more!!! Dangit. Oh sushi, how I love thee. I want more seaweed. I could eat it every single day.
Alas, I refuse to remain a fat ass. I will shop for clothes 2-3 sizes smaller soon enough. Yes, this is my plan. Lose weight, feel great, and other cheesy things that don’t involve pasta.
