Apple Bread - Quick and Easy!

1/2 cup canola oil
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2 cups sifted unbleached flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 Tablespoons milk
1/2 cup raisins
2 large apples finely chopped (Use good baking apples)
1/2 cup walnuts chopped - optional

I’m trying people. Really, I am.

As I sit and type, Xavier is watching First Signs and bouncing happily. His smile comes and goes at his favorite parts. When he doesn’t love a scen, he spins the toys on his bouncer and listens for a familiar scene he does like. It’s wonderful. I love that he notices audio cues. I love knowing he has preferrences for something other than food. It’s great!

Yesterday was technically my first mama’s day. El Dia de Madre. Yay. Erik, I mean Xavier, got me a digital photo frame. It’s a big ‘un, too. It makes me happy. The thing has tons of features and I can watch videos on it or add music. I just love the thing.

I just posted my RPGLife play-by-post update. I like how the storyline is progressing. Crippled Planet is fun to play despite being slow. I can’t complain too much. At least it’s good writing practice. I’m not in total control which is challenging– which is good.

Speaking of writing, I got an A on my final paper and a B in the class overall. English Composition is the class I’m talking about. I should have said that first. My next courses, Psych and Japanese, start next week. I take Psych online, but go to campus for the Japanese class. So far there are only 13 other people registered. Hopefully it doesn’t get canceled at the last minute. The professor hasn’t responded to my effin email, nor has she sent the syllabus. I’m concerned. I’ve been looking forward to this class for months.  Wish me luck.

And that’s all for now. I will try to update at least every other day. It’s a frivolous personal goal I suppose.

I feel like a complete dildo.  Seriously. I remembered everything I needed today save for the most important parts… the valves to my breast pump. Yeah. Way to help improve my milk production. I am so frickin stoopid.

So X is asleep just in time for company. I just ordered him a Jacque the Peacock and a tummy time mat. He holds his head up a lot but doesn’t like being on the floor so I figured I’d get this thing now. Maybe he’ll feel better about the floor sooner than later.

I can’t wait to buy him his first computer. Of course it’ll be VTech or LeapFrog, but you get the point.

I also finally got around to ordering the Shisedo Tsubaki shampoo + Conditioner for myself.  I can’t wait to use it. The shower is my safe haven these days so I want nothing but good smells, smooth suds, and hot water. The next time I get something for myself, it’ll come from MAC or Sephora in the form of high quality make up.

In other news, I started writing a character profile + history for my Vampire: The Masquerade character. Now I don’t even care about playing as much as I care about writing an epic saga. Go figure.

Smallest of Bear tends to do things like this for like a million hours per day. I try wakin him up to play with me, but no dice. This morning, I poked my tongue at him over and over for like 3-4minutes. He poked his out twice and I was ecstatic. I stopped there. Maybe it was a fluke, but I call it Mama Bear - Baby Bear connections. I even asked him to sleep good hours so his dad could get decent sleep for work. Guess what… he listened. Mmmmm hmm. He slept from 10:30pm to 1:30 am, then 2am to 6am. Now tell me that’s not a darn good bear!
