I’ve decided to give myself something constructive to do that doesn’t involve picking up my wiimote.

I’ve created the /writing  directory on my site so I can start working on the stories I’ve abandoned. This should be good for my soul. I’ve got a lot of stuff in my head to sort out and make readable. It could be fun to do a children’s book. I could make crappy drawings and stuff. Then I’d scan it and put it online to archive for the SOB.

By putting my writing on my own site (instead of updating my writing.com account), I’ll also be forced to do some coding as a side-effect. This will be good for my noggin.

I’m not gonna rush it, but it’s started already. Now… where’s my perseverance?

Someway.

I all of a sudden have the latest version installed. It’s pretty amazing. I was playing with Filezilla to upload WP2, but didn’t notice a change. That was a couple of days ago. Then this morning, it’s just there. I guess 1and1 did it. I’m going to have to bring my laptop with me this weekend. mmmm.

Monday, I played Second Life again for the first time in like almost 2 years. It wa enjoyable, but not as amusing as before. The game is full of horny bastards trying to be cybershagged. I’m about ready to revamp my char to join the amazon-type squad that Ariella’s in. Less BS. Who knows…

Lately I’ve been playing in Photoshop like crazy. I’ve sourced and installed some brushes. Now I’m ready to make a few of my own. It’s not like I don’t have a scanner and a little creative know-how. I’m really interested in stepping things up a notch (but that’s for the next blog entry).

I can’t figure out how to create my own layout/designs for blog. It’s really frustrating. Grrrrrr. I’ll figure this crap out. Gorramnit I will!

In other news, I’m on a mission to make a big wave for the US gyaru scene. I’m glad for that. I just need to either get wordpress goin or just scrap it altogether and code a blog format for my newest site from scratch. It’ll work out one way or another. Bah. I’m sleepy.

Oh, long story short: I never had to install WP because 1and1 had WP built in somehow. I can’t get to some of the folders that I should be able to get to and its getting annoying. Bah. Whatever. Like I said… sleepy. (But I’m not goin to sleep yet. garr)

I need to level up and be a web designer like now. I’m pretty sure they make like 4k/yr more than I do. That would be useful in operation be happy with life. I’m really not ecstatic about much, just hyper. I’m constantly worrying about being able to afford retirement. It’s rough. I make great money for someone my age, esp considering I don’t have a BA. I need to go back to school. I want to go back to school. Does anyone wanna adopt me for 4 years so I can go back to school full-time? Pretty please. I’m gonna cry. Anyway, this is what my company says:

Job Description:
• Design and produce Marketing emails using HTML, JavaScript and Java.
• Work closely with managers and other departments to design Marketing emails based on manager input.
• Use advanced HTML editors, vector based and photo-based programs, i.e., Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design online Marketing promotions.
•Scan and modify necessary logos/images and artwork to be used in emails.

Requirements:
• BFA in Graphic Design
• Trade/Professional certification in html, javascript and java.
• 1-2 years experience (preferred) or recent college graduate, designing and producing html emails and html pages.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, Java, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash.
• Proficiency in using Macintosh and PC platforms.
• Broad knowledge of creating communications for marketing-based efforts.
• Active in professional associations related to marketing and design a plus.

So this is basically where my new blog will be. I don’t see the point in having 2 domains anymore now that my hosting expired with avytech.net. I think I can handle a lot with avygrrl.com and avytech is a part of the past. I’ll keep the pieces that are good for me to keep online and archive the rest. A burial of sorts. The coding for this blog is not my own, but it IS userfriendly as hell.
