So X is asleep just in time for company. I just ordered him a Jacque the Peacock and a tummy time mat. He holds his head up a lot but doesn’t like being on the floor so I figured I’d get this thing now. Maybe he’ll feel better about the floor sooner than later.

I can’t wait to buy him his first computer. Of course it’ll be VTech or LeapFrog, but you get the point.

I also finally got around to ordering the Shisedo Tsubaki shampoo + Conditioner for myself.  I can’t wait to use it. The shower is my safe haven these days so I want nothing but good smells, smooth suds, and hot water. The next time I get something for myself, it’ll come from MAC or Sephora in the form of high quality make up.

In other news, I started writing a character profile + history for my Vampire: The Masquerade character. Now I don’t even care about playing as much as I care about writing an epic saga. Go figure.

As much as I love nihongo, I think it’d be smart for me to learn Chinese in it;s place. This is Philadelphia. Seriously. There is so much more use for Chinese languages than Japanese in this city. Spanish is so easy that I don’t really care about being fluent. Cantonese and Mandarin are so damned hard. It’s like learning a song with different melodies even is the lyrics are the same verse-by-verse.  I’ve tried to learn before but it’s just so hard! I can read some kanji, but it’s the speaking that’s hard for me. I figure I have until the end of next month to learn some polite things. If I’m still full of fail by the end of my maternity leave, I can accept defeat.

I’m pretty sure Xavier just pooped. Eww.

Xavier is moving SO much. It’s insane!

I’m watching my stomach move around and it looks like something out of a freaky parasitic-themed sci-fi movie. I get the good giggles everytime I see it. He was just going for about 3 minutes straight. I’m sure that’s the longest ever.

I’m not the biggest fan of being pregant, but this is pretty amazing.
Pregnancy in itself is just gross: puking, swelling, farting… I’m just sayin, if I weren’t a tomboy, the gas would be embarassing. But then there’s the cool parts: kicking/movement… um… yeah, that’s about it. I’m just not all girly about the pregnancy. I look at it in a purely scientific manner. There is a parasite inside me. I happen to love my little parasite and will maim/kill anyone who tries to harm him. But yeah, he’s still a parasite for the time being. He’ll pop out of this host and be a super nifty human on his own, but that time won’t come for another 7 weeks or so.

I’m being patient.

So I’m watching Weeds right now and I’m pretty certain this show deserves like 6 million awards. There’s something nifty about a comedy about a suburban mom selling pot to the neighbors. I dunno why this show wasn’t made sooner but thank God it’s been made now. Yes yes.
