I had a busy bear weekend. Friday night was full of dance gaming to burn off the BBQ noms my aunt and cousins made. I chose to forgo the BBQ sauce to avoid even more fat and calories.

Saturday, we all went to the beach. By all, I mean me, E, X , and the in-lawws. It was LOVELY and Super Moon looked awesome. I still don’t trust it. Oh well.

Lots of pix were taken. I’ll update with some of them later.  I have a last-minute photoshoot on Saturday morning. It’s for my aunt’s BFF. Nerves! It’s also for her album cover. The CD release party is in a month. I figure I’ll go so I can see which photo she chooses.My goal is to give her 10 photos just as I would anyone else on a basic package, but I’m still nervous. On the plus side, she and her fiance both love my portfolio. I’ll just stop being chicken.

I’ve been unemployed since 12/20/08 so I’ve had more time on my hands and with the Smallest of Bears. I’m glad to have the time with him, but I also need to keep busy. So far I have:

Tried a few new recipes (my meatloaf ROCKS)
Made more soap
Registered for school
Joined a post-apocalyptic play-by-post RPG
Started making jewelry to sell

I am pretty sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. I have found jobs I like, but the ones that call me back are Marketing-Sales.  I prefer the creative side of Marketing. I think it up, you sell it. Leave me alone otherwise.

I even started an account on Art Fire. Sweeeeeeeeeet.

My little sister wants to be a model. Shame she’s black. On the other hand, she is light-skinned. What’s sad is that that matters. She has a better chance at success than a dark-skinned girl who looks just like her.

The small bear wants what the small bear wants.

Today was a busy day. I couldn’t sleep at all. I tried to no avail. At some point I set up the stroller and walked to the corner store with the bear in tow. That normally takes 3-5 minutes…

Today it took 15 minutes.

My pelvis + left hip hurts so much that coming back home took even longer. I was standing around the deli waiting for my cuts and I needed to sit!

Oh so get this, the milk I bought was for 9/18 so I had to go back after getting all the way home. So more walking, only this time with no stroller. I used the Snugli carrier. The other ones are for slightly bigger bears.

Woah. I’m tired of typing. Bye.

Sleeping Peacefully Today

Smallest of Bear tends to do things like this for like a million hours per day. I try wakin him up to play with me, but no dice. This morning, I poked my tongue at him over and over for like 3-4minutes. He poked his out twice and I was ecstatic. I stopped there. Maybe it was a fluke, but I call it Mama Bear - Baby Bear connections. I even asked him to sleep good hours so his dad could get decent sleep for work. Guess what… he listened. Mmmmm hmm. He slept from 10:30pm to 1:30 am, then 2am to 6am. Now tell me that’s not a darn good bear!
