My little sister wants to be a model. Shame she’s black. On the other hand, she is light-skinned. What’s sad is that that matters. She has a better chance at success than a dark-skinned girl who looks just like her.

I got an e-reads account and downloaded an ebook  so I could be proud of myself for not contributing to the cutting down of trees even moreso than usual.

That was dumb.

If I had this novel in book form, I would be at least halfway done by now. In pdf format, I’m only on page 13. Page 13? Really?!! Sheesh.

I’m afraid I’ll be buying books from Amazon again. My eyes are not so happy.

I’m sick. Xav has an ear infection, but passed his cold onto me. Good for him, bah for me. He’s in daycare now and I’m back at work for the first time since last Thursday.

I’m happy though.

My Egyptian  perfume bottles came while I was out. They’re so pretty. They’re little hand-blown glass bottles and are hand-painted. I can’t wait to make the perfumes tonight. I got my shipment of essential oils on Saturday so that’s taken care of. I’m still waiting for all my soapmaking stuff to come in.

The online store is set up and I’ll be putting the perfumes up for sale either tonight or tomorrow night. I will reserve Saturdays/Sundays for soap and candle-making. It’s going to be time consuming so I’ll do the simple molds on Saturdays and the intricate ones on Sundays. That way Erik can hand Xav if he gets fussy while I’m in my artsy flow.

I’m crafty. Yay.
