Mushy Mami Post
May 5, 2008 by Avy.
So yesterday Erik and I went to Babies R Us so he could see & we could feel the car-seat I picked out (Graco Snug Ride) for our registry. It was fun times. Neither of us could get it detached from the base, but the lady helped us with that part.
The car-seat also works with the Snug Ride stroller frame (and a swing frame). You just pop it right in. It’s only $60 and that’s great to us. I don’t see the point in spending $$$ on a big stroller when I hate them altogether. I’m into baby carrying for as long as possible and only using strollers when I’ll be walking for more than an hour. Erik says he’ll take turns carrying the SOB, so that’s a plus to me. He had fun playing with the stroller, too. It was nifty. Men are such adorable dorks when they get into daddy mode.
Oh, here’s what they look like:
In other news, I’m feeling very mushy these days. It’s so weird to know that I’m gonna be somebody’s mom. It’s weird! I said that already. But yeah. I’m just excited and heppy. I get all hurty in the cheeks when I think about the toddler years especially. I know I can “teach” the baby facial expressions pretty early, but newborns aren’t much fun. I’ll just be terrified in the beginning and move on to the comfort o carrying a 3month old. I’ll be honest. I don’t think I’ll be comfortable holding him until then. I think I’ll be able to do it just fine, but I’ll still be terrified of dropping/squishing. I’m very comfortable with babies 3mos and up.
Anyway. I can’t wait to make lunches and watch Nat Geo and go on adventures and play “Scare the Daddy” with the SOB.
