Update of DOOM

I’m happy. The entire weekend was great. I just reflected and am happy to say all was and is well. Hooray for that!

Friday, Erik grabbed me from work and we had dinner at Sweet Lucy’s. Yum yum. This time he got the pork and I got the ribs. I really think that’s a first. Yep. It is. Shortly after, we went home cuddled up by the TV and oddly enough, fell asleep for like 10 - 12 hours. That’s still amazing. We were just supposed to be laying down, but ended up knocked out.

Saturday I brought cake to my mum’s house for my little broski’s birthday. The boy turned 21 last Monday and I still can’t believe it. It’s crazy. Sheesh.
After his bday cake and all, my uncle Bobby-Mack-Jessie drove me to Erik’s parents’ place. We took the scenic route. I always forget how pretty Philly is and how busy it gets in the warm weather (downtown). I get there earlier than expected, but no biggy. I hung out with the Bobert and Shells. I was making the charoset, but forgot red wine. We went on a Wine and Spirits adventure and came back. Then Bobert and I couldn’t work the food processor. Hers is more complicated than mine. Grrr. It all worked well and when dinner time rolled around, I was happy to hear that people loved my creation (even though I didn’t). Now I know that I dislike red wine and nuts. The apple part is great, even with wine, but I wasn’t diggin the nuts.
When Erik and I got home, we watched King Bear on NatGeo/Discover/Something.  It ruled.

Sunday was my grandmom’s  69th birthday. At least now I know how old she is. I got a card and had Rahshan and Lacey sign it as well so I could give it to her. I got her a necklace and a bamboo plant so that was fun. There were way more people over than I thought. I was only expecting Uncle Bobby-Mack-Jessie. Oh no. Everyone was there. URASAI!!! Sheesh.  But high five for baked macaroni and cheese. mmmmm. Erik and I were hungry. That was 3 nights of big dinners. That’s a first in a long time. There was also grilled chicken/steak/fish/sausages, collard greens, macaroni salad… food aplenty. Trust me.

Anyways, it’s taken me 2 hours to get this far so I’m just gonna post.
