One thing that makes me really happy is cooking, baking, doing that domestic shiz. I made brownies over the weekend and it would’ve been a lot easier had I owned this nifty set:
Hmm… My birthday does happen to be next Wednesday…
I was talking to Erik about the laundry room project. I can’t wait to get that thing all spiffed up! I don’t love cleaning, but I like doing laundry. I basically grew up in a laundromat so the smells of Clorox, Downy and all that goodness is comforting to me.
I can’t wait to go home and make dinner, play some music, do my hair, type some code.
I’m a Domesticated Grrly Geek and I like it.
Also, I’ll be able to buy my DSLR next Thursday/weekend so I’m really really happy. I can start shooting higher quality photos and really feel more confident in selling them on Lulu and Cafe Press.
I know there’s all types of people and styles, but my idea of being “a grown ass woman” is pretty clear to me. That includes driving. I don’t really want to drive because it’s scary, but I’m glad to have Erik backing me on this. We’ve gone out to practice a couple of times and I’m not as afraid as I used to be (but I’m still pretty terrified).
Grrr. We’re bears.

Samhain!

Mabon just passed and I didn’t really do anything aside from the usual prayer in my head before bed. I almost feel bad about it. Nah. I feel bad. I’ve been a bad Wiccan. Too consumed with my own shit.
New leaf? Check!
I’ve been on Witches’ Voice since I was like 14 or 15 and never met anyone for study-buddying or anything until now. This local chick messaged me (and we’re both on LJ) so we’re gonna get together sometime to study and plan something for Samhain. That’s Halloween to all you non-knowers. ^_^ It’s great. Samhain and Midsummer are my favorites. Mabon, not so much. My grandfather died on Mabon so I associate it with my grandmother being sad. I couldn’t stand him, but she loved him so it’s a sucky day to me. This year it wasn’t on 9/21 so I’m not using that as an excuse for not celebrating, I’m just sayin….
And yay! The Complete Book of Incense Oils & Brews just came! I has a book!
